Tuition

An Education that Nurtures Wisdom, Courage and Integrity

Your child’s education is the most meaningful investment you can make. We are committed to delivering an excellent academic and extracurricular program for our students. Our faculty strives to create a learning environment where our students can access their very best selves and go on to make a difference in the world.

Volunteerism and Philanthropy

The cost of tuition is set by individual schools, and varies widely. It is important to note that tuition does not cover all costs and that fundraising and volunteerism are a critical annual necessity at Island Pacific as tuition solely covers operations including salaries, program development, supplies and maintenance. As an independent not for profit organization, we rely on philanthropy and fundraising to secure permanent facilities.

Once you are enrolled, we ask that you choose your volunteer role here. Every family is expected to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per year as a condition of enrollment.

Financial Due Dates

The application fee is required when submitting the application form. A tuition deposit is due upon offer of enrollment. The annual deposit is required by February 28, 2024 for returning students. The tuition deposit is deducted from the total school fees invoice and contract. Payment of the remaining tuition is to be paid in full by June 1st of the enrollment or re-enrollment school year.  A quarterly or monthly payment plan option is available with the first payment due in June of the enrollment year and all tuition must be paid by May of the following calendar year. Payment plans will have an additional administrative fee added to the payments. Read more for full details of the payment plan policy.

Learning Strategies

The school may require an additional learning assistance fee to provide the support necessary to help students who have specific, existing individual learning needs.  Learning strategies help students achieve high levels of success. This is determined on a case-by-case basis prior to enrollment.

Since opening its doors in 1995, Island Pacific School has always been committed to ensuring the broadest possible access to those who want to attend the school.

We keep our school tuition costs low in comparison to other independent and private middle schools and we fundraise to provide approximately $80,000 of the financial aid costs each year. We believe that investing in your child’s education will pay returns for the rest of their life.

Affording Island Pacific School – Our Student Bursary Program

We are committed to welcoming applicants who will thrive in the unique opportunity of an IPS education, regardless of financial circumstances. We are committed to assisting families with a demonstrated financial need, to help cover the cost of school tuition through a financial aid program, to a maximum of 50% of the base tuition fee. Families qualifying for, and receiving financial aid, must re-apply every year should they wish to be considered for aid. Applications are processed for current IPS families before other applicants.

We use a third party, Apple Financial, for  assessing financial aid applications. Please apply in plenty of time to obtain approval. The application fee is $125.00 charged by Apple Financial. The deadline to apply is January 31st each year (meaning a fully completed application with all required supporting documents are due by this date). Awards are communicated by early to mid March of each year. Admission decisions and financial aid decisions are made independently of each other.
