Our auction will feature a stunning hand crafted canoe handcrafted by Island Pacific School students –

Under teacher Easton Rough’s guidance, Island Pacific School students crafted this beautiful cedar strip canoe. Using Easton’s expertise from Ontario canoe-building camps, students participated in every step, from cutting to sanding and gluing.

Their efforts culminated in the canoe’s launch on Killarney Lake, symbolizing their resilience and the power of hands-on learning. This is a beautiful, Island Pacific School branded, one of a kind canoe!

Montreal Smoked Meat – Scott’s Story

Island Pacific School’s Head Scott Herrington’s parents owned and operated a delicatessen in Calgary called Mel’s Famous Sandwiches and Cheesecakes for 16 years. This family restaurant was a big part of Scott’s high school and university days and he is skilled in the fine art of preparing authentic Montreal smoked meat sandwiches that will melt in your mouth.
