Hot lunches are prepared on most months that we don't have a House lunch, usually by Tell Your Friends Cafe on Bowen, comprising of healthy, yummy food with dietary requirements such as vegan and gluten free options. These lunches are at an additional cost and orders are taken via Google form which is sent out a few days in advance by Renee at Tell Your Friends Cafe. We try to get them in the W@G sent out the week prior, otherwise it will be by dedicated email to parents.
Volunteers Required: 3-4 people to set up tables, plates and cutlery (food is brought in large bowls and serving dishes to reduce waste of individual containers), take down, oversee scraping of leftover food into organic waste bins and rinsing and loading of dishes into the dishwasher by students.
Grade 8/9 students are going to the Howe Sound Curling Club in Squamish to curl. Students will take the 12:00 ferry to Horseshoe Bay and be transported to Squamish on a bus.
On-island students will return on the 4:35 ferry.
Off-island students will be dismissed in Horseshoe Bay at 3:15.
On-island students will be dismissed at the Bowen Library at 5:00.

House lunches at IPS are a beloved tradition where students from each house – Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Orion, and Pleiades – come together to create a themed lunch. They decorate, plan games, and entertain the entire school, fostering collaboration and creativity while building lasting friendships across all grades. It's a highlight of our House System!
The second House Lunch of the year is hosted by Orion on Wednesday, November 27th, from 1-2:30! Orion students, bring your props and costumes – lunch will be provided, but extra snacks are encouraged. All students will be dismissed at 2:30 from IPS. Read more about this tradition here.
