Students will depart on the 10am ferry and return on the 5:20pm ferry. Mainland students can be picked up in Horseshoe Bay at 4:45pm. Island students can be picked up from the Bowen Library at 5:40pm. Students should wear regular non-uniform clothing that is appropriate for being shown on TV. See more details Gr6/9 - Excursion Gr6/9 - Excursion January 7, 2026 @ 12:35 pm - 5:40 pm Grade 6/9 students will be going on a mentor/mentee excursion to go skating at the Lonsdale Quay. They will depart on the 12:35pm ferry, be driven to the Quay on the IPS bus, then return on the 5:20pm ferry. Mainland students can be picked up at the Lonsdale Quay Rink at 3:45 (please tell Kari if this is the case) or in Horseshoe Bay at 4:45pm. Island students can be picked up at the Bowen Island Library at 5:40pm. Students can be in their regular uniforms and pack clothing to be outside skating. Morning: Island students will need to be at the Bowen Library for attendance by 7:20am. They will be on the 7:30am ferry. Mainland students can meet the group in Horseshoe Bay at 7:50am. Alternatively, they can meet the group at Cypress Mountain at 8:30am (please meet in the cafeteria area). Please let Kari know where your student will be meeting the group. Students will be transported from Horseshoe Bay to Cypress Lodge on a charter bus. Afternoon: Island students will get back on the charter bus at 2:30pm and head back to Horseshoe Bay. They will be on the 3:55 ferry and be dismissed from the Bowen Library at 4:15pm. Mainland students can be picked up at Cypress Mountain at 2:30pm or from Horseshoe Bay at 3:00pm. Extra Info: -Cypress Mountain is a cashless location, so students can bring cards if they wish to buy lunch -Please make sure that your students' gear fits well before the ski date -If the weather is looking very wet, bringing a dry change of clothes would be a good idea Please let Kari know if you have any questions about this event. For Google Calendar:

1. Open [Google Calendar](https://calendar.google.com/) on your computer.

2. On the left sidebar, click the “+” sign next to “Other calendars.”

3. Select “From URL.”

4. Paste the calendar URL provided above.

5. Click “Add Calendar.”

For Apple Calendar (iCal):

1. Open the Calendar app on your Mac.

2. Go to File > “New Calendar Subscription.”

3. Paste the calendar URL provided above into the field.

4. Click “Subscribe.”

5. Adjust settings like auto-refresh frequency if desired, then click “OK.”

For Outlook:

Outlook on Windows:

1. Open Outlook and navigate to the Calendar section.

2. On the Home tab, click “Add Calendar” > “From Internet.”

3. Paste the calendar URL provided above.

4. Click “Yes” to add the internet calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates.

Outlook on Mac:

1. Open Outlook and switch to Calendar view.

2. Go to Tools > “Accounts.”

3. Select your account and click on “Advanced.”

4. Navigate to the “Subscriptions” tab.

5. Click the “+” button, enter the calendar URL provided above, and click “Subscribe.”
