Grade 7/8 students will be going to volunteer brushing the trails to Cheakamus Lake. This is a particularly fun opportunity for them to give back since they will be the ones using these trails in their fall hiking trip!
Island students will depart on the 7:30am ferry and return on the 3:55 ferry. Mainland students can meet the group in Horseshoe Bay at 7:50am. They will be dismissed in Horseshoe Bay at 3:00pm.
Students should dress appropriately to be active in the weather of this day, and they must have access to a long sleeve shirt to wear when using snippers (uniforms not required). They need to pack a lunch and water bottle. Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat are highly recommended.
There is a paper waiver that went home with students that needs to be signed before June 9th please!

The grade 6 students will be hiking the Cross Island Trail across Bowen Island.
Mainland students need to take the 8:05 ferry and they will walk to IPS as per usual. Mainland students will return on the 3:15 ferry. Island students should come to school for our regular time (8:45). Island students can be picked up at the Bowen Library at 3:00pm or at Bowen Bay Beach at 2:30pm.
The students will hike across the island from IPS to Bowen Bay Beach. Students must dress for the weather and pack sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water bottles, and a lunch. They require comfortable walking shoes.
Students do not need to be in uniform.
