Motto
"Learning to make a difference."
Students learn to make a difference in the daily life of the school through composting, recycling, and lending a hand in cleaning the school itself.
Students learn to make a difference in the Bowen Island community by helping create and design a re-use it centre that, once built, will address some of the material needs of the island's residents.
Students learn to make a difference in the lives of sick children by raising money for the BC Cancer Society, and students learn to make a difference in the lives of third world children by raising money for children living and studying at the Royal Seed Home oprhanage in Kesoa, Ghana. The close-knit community here means that students understand their actions directly affect the lives of their peers, their teachers, and people they might never meet.
