Teal Ander Bursary

Portrait of Teal Ander

Teal Ander was a learning assistance teacher, and then Coordinator, at Island Pacific School from 2002 to 2007.

She had a fierce commitment to the students and gave her all to ensure each and every one of them could be successful. In honor of her outstanding work, the school and the Ander Family would like to establish the “Teal Ander Bursary” fund to support IPS applicants who require additional learning assistance.

You can donate online. Cheques can be mailed or dropped off at the school, and should be made payable to “Island Pacific School”, with the notation “Teal Ander Bursary” on the bottom of the cheque. (Address; 671 Carter Road, Bowen Island, BC, V0N 1G0) Charitable tax receipts will be issued upon request. More info: info@go.islandpacific.org

15 for 15 Annual Giving Campaign

In the 15 years since Island Pacific School opened its doors it has sent over 125 students on to success in high school and beyond. IPS alumni study law at Oxford, win the Governor General’s award, teach in Ghana, and walk the world.

Help us celebrate and continue our success by taking part in our 15 for 15 Annual Giving Campaign. We are asking current and alumni families for a gift of $15 to $150 a month for 15 months. Of course, a gift of any size is greatly appreciated and helps us build our bursary fund and send more young adolescents on to success in high school and beyond.

Donating is easy and you can set up monthly gifts or give in a lump sum. Just click on the button below to go to our secure Paypal site.

Or, make a donation through Canada Helps. You simply choose Island Pacific School as your charity of choice, identify any special requests associated with that gift (memorial designations, specific project requests, frequency of gift, Gift Card, etc.), and begin the checkout (or payment) process. Once the donation has been paid for, you will receive an immediate, secure PDF tax receipt, issued by CanadaHelps, by email. CanadaHelps then disburses the funds (less a 3% transaction fee) to IPS, along with any special requests associated with that gift, and in the manner the donor specified at checkout.
